Hey, I’m John, an aviation fan with a camera, from Flagstaff, Arizona. I’ve been photographing airplanes since 2018, but I’ve been interested in aviation for as long as I can remember. Growing up near a Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, AZ, exposed me to the might of military aviation. My father was also a commercial pilot for over two decades. So, I got lots of exposure to all things that fly.

For me, aviation photography isn’t just about taking the picture. It’s about capturing the feeling of flight. The rumble you feel in your chest when a jet flies by, the smell of jet fuel in the air, the shimmer of heat caused by the engine exhaust... that’s what I try to convey with every shot.

From modern military fighters to civilian trainers and everything in between, I love sharing my love of aviation through my images.

So, if you’re into airplanes, air shows, or just geeking out over the sights and sounds of flight, welcome! And thanks for taking a look at my photos!

-John
